Laurel Blooms. A while back I posted a picture of this stuff telling how it is Rhodadendrun or actualy Ivy. But, in these hills we have it switched and calling it differnet means your not from here. Bee's make honey off of it, It grows in great big tangling patches and likes damp slopes. The leaves are poisinous. Don't let your Goats eat it. They bloomed nearly a month back, I finaly got this posted. Wich reminds me there is a big favor I have to do for JB.

If you have any close up pics of this plant - would like to see it. (leaves and flower) I am very familiar with the rhododendron. Around here - the rhodie is the national flower. Depending on the variety they bloom year round.
I can get the leaves up for you, but, the flowers are gone. Their are two differnt kind. One that grows anywhere from a few hundred feet elevation to say 4500 feet(wich gets big) and a smaller one no more than waste high that's on up on the high lonsomes. The differnces are very subtle, but, it's said they are different species. Nothing is more agrevating than Squirrell hunting in a bunch of Laurels.
